During the last 15 years her artistic
and pedagogic work has mainly been shaped by her interest
in Instant
Composition as a way of performing and composing
on stage.
A qualified teacher in Skinner
Releasing Technique since 2004, Bettina uses
the interweaving of Skinner Releasing Technique
with her training and research in Instant Composition
as the main basis from which her work evolves.
Her approach is based on the belief
that dance
is primarily a kinaesthetic art, which is created and
received by our natural capacity to perceive, respond
and move as well as our natural sense for composition.
In this her interest lies in using the dynamic body-mind
to communicate from its entire spectrum of possible
expression, imagination and its own intelligence rather
than from predefined aesthetics.
